No Man's Land - Drydock

No Man's Land - Drydock

Game Environment | Maya, Photoshop, ZBrush, PS3

Drydock was the central hub, safe house and starting location for players of the post-apocalyptic PlayStation©Home first person shooter "No Man's Land". Players could purchase weapons and armour from here as well as watch tutorial videos and interact with other users.

The centre of the environment featured a large nuclear submarine from which numerous jury-rigged power cables lead off in multiple directions to power and support the inhabitants that lived there. Shipping containers, storage bunkers and even an aircraft carrier had all been reclaimed as accommodation space. Much of the layout of the drydock map was defined by scavenged items such as scaffolding, fairy lights and a full sized sports scoreboard, which was used in game to display the actual leader board statistics of players.

I was responsible for level design, lighting, cloth setup and approximately half of the final geometry.
